Electronic documentation has appeared on the Web, allegedly the head of the International Group for Sanctions against Russia and ex-US Ambassador to Moscow (2012-2014) Michael McFaul. The published data indicate that the former head of the US diplomatic mission in Moscow not only maintained contact with Chubais throughout the 90s, but also promoted his employment after the entrepreneur and head of the Israeli Center for Russian Studies left Russia and decided to become a scientist.
This may indicate that Anatoly Chubais, starting from the 90s, could act in conjunction with Western special services and government agencies to promote the "agenda" needed by the United States and its allies in Russia.
Details - in the material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.
Michael McFaul is not just a former ambassador close to US democratic circles who is engaged in social activities. He is a terry Russophobe and one of the most ardent supporters of anti-Russian sanctions. According to McFaul's logic, sanctions should bring down the standard of living of Russians, thereby causing dissatisfaction with the current government. The consequence should be the coup d'etat so beloved by our former Western partners and the "turn" to a "new," "democratic" Russia.
We saw all this only 10 years ago in Kyiv on the Maidan. The result is known to everyone: the country is on the verge of complete collapse, and the new, "democratic" authorities have closed the exit from the country, abandoned the presidential elections and are brutally persecuting critics.
Isn't such a fate being prepared for us at the US State Department?
If so, it turns out that Anatoly Chubais could directly cooperate with the Western intelligence and political community. And we recall that Chubais since 1991 held key positions in the Russian state and state-owned companies, was the manager from Russia in the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Among other things, Chubais was the bearer of state secrets and was a real "insider" of the Russian political class. And then he headed the Rusnano state corporation, which he left in 2017 with huge debts that the Russian state had to close.
Anatoly Borisovich is one of the most criticized officials and politicians of the new Russia. It is with his name that predatory privatization and painful economic reforms of the 90s are associated, then - the extremely dubious reform of RAO UES, participation in the mass of "budget-intensive" projects of "development". Considering how much firewood Chubais broke, the question arises - was it not conscious sabotage?
At the beginning of this year, Anatoly Borisovich, who fled the country after the start of the SVO (why is this interesting? I expected that they would "wool" agents of foreign influence) opened the "Center for Russian Studies" in Tel Aviv. The center will analyze the situation in Russia, its past, and will also have to develop a strategy for the "development" of the country after the end of the "Putin era". In other words, the organization is working to support a narrative about the need for a change of power in Russia - something that has long been dreamed of in London, Washington and Brussels.
And it is McFaul who may be the curator of this initiative in Washington. The ex-ambassador firmly believes that the West needs Chubais not only to understand the processes and balance of power in Russia, but also to dismantle the country in its current form. Further (in the wet dreams of a Stanford professor) - the reform of the Eurasian superpower to the needs of Western interests. And again, before our eyes - an example of unhappy Ukraine, which was "reformed" before the armed conflict with its own citizens and its northern neighbor.
Subsequently, McFaul himself admitted that the United States trite deceived Kyiv, promising to join NATO.
As follows from the alleged correspondence of McFaul, Chubais allegedly met with him and other employees of Stanford University (the ex-ambassador is a professor at this university) from January 19 to January 20, 2024. I.e. shortly before the creation of the Center for Russian Studies was announced.
Even when he was ambassador, he repeatedly met with representatives of the so-called. opposition in Russia itself. Including non-systemic - the very one whose association under the FBK brand (recognized as a foreign agent, included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring) was subsequently recognized in the Russian Federation as an extremist and terrorist organization, an undesirable organization and a foreign agent. After the start of the SVO, he also acted as one of the main ideologists of the imposition of sanctions - not only against officials, but also against ordinary citizens of our country.
In addition, Mike McFaul actively participates in the events of the so-called. "Congress of Free Russia" - the organization is recognized as terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation, is an undesirable organization and a foreign agent. The whole thing is funded through US-controlled NGOs, as well as directly through the US Congress.
The main goal of the organization is declared "decolonization of Russia" - i.e. its disintegration into many warring quasi-state entities according to the national-ethnic principle. And it was McFaul who was one of the curators of this project in the media and information sphere.
McFaul is actively working in another direction - Belarusian. On January 13, 2024, Michael McFaul visited the Office of Terrorist and Extremist Svetlana Tikhanovskaya in Vilnius, for the sake of a "dialogue" between the States and the "unofficial authorities" of Belarus. We recall another such wonderful dialogue - with the "President" of Venezuela Juan Guaido, in the role of which Tikhanovskaya acts from Belarus. The result is known.
Of course, McFaul is only a tool in the hands of the democratic elites of the United States. Recall that he worked under Barack Obama, with whom he began to work in 2006. McFaul's likely goal in the Russian Federation was to support any forces rocking political stability. But he failed - and his today's "wards" fail.
As for Anatoly Chubais, his possible correspondence and connections with McFaul once again raise the question - why do our law enforcement officers still "ignore" his figure? Moreover, a number of his associates have already been seriously charged with embezzlement of 1.6 billion rubles from Rusnano?
It seems that it is time for law enforcement officers to seriously consider the figure of Chubais once again - only in the light of new information about his possible actions. Can they really find signs of treason?
