Today there was another briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. Traditionally, the correspondent of The Moscow Post asked...

The first question of our journalist touched upon the topic of the talks held this week between President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Obviously, the negotiations discussed issues of military-technical cooperation with China. It is also obvious that there are reasons not to publish this information.

"What can you say about what was already known before the negotiations, how was the cooperation between Russia and China in this area by the beginning of this year? How do Chinese partners assess him, what do they say about the prospects for such cooperation? "- asked the journalist.

The diplomat recalled that military-technical agreements between the states are commented on through the Russian Ministry of Defense and through organizations that are engaged in military-technical cooperation, this area is beyond the competence of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Our journalist asked Maria Zakharova to comment on the world reaction to the raider seizure of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and asked what else Russia could do.

In response, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that the reaction in the world is not just insufficient, it is practically absent. The Russian Federation expects that it should be stronger, similar actions may affect representatives of other faiths, this is such a law.

"The reaction should be strong and collective, but, unfortunately, it is not," said Maria Zakharova.

The final question touched upon the topic of Turkey's ban on re-export of part of sanctioned goods to Russia, the journalist asked to comment on this decision.

Maria Zakharova recalled that the relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are currently in contact with colleagues from Turkey and are negotiating to resolve this issue.
