In the case of the scandalous banker Sergei Kononov, the ex-head of the Welfare Foundation, and now the adviser to the PSB board, Yuri Novozhilov, may be involved....
Russian investigating authorities continue to deal with the case of the "moire" banker Sergei Kononov: during the course of investigative actions, a new large "fish" pops up.
The source of The Moscow Post, which previously sent interesting documents - and they shed light on the activities of the former owner of the Transnational Bank Sergey Kononov, shared with the editors new facts. The elusive banker Kononov - and the license from the Transnational Bank was revoked back in 2015 - apparently, after the publication of the journalistic investigation, "The banker under the moire" veil "was finally detained and transferred to SIZO №5 "Vodnik".
According to our source, now the investigators are very actively engaged in the "case" of Mr. Kononov, or rather, his Cypriot company Urals. The main stake in the company through an offshore company is issued for the 23-year-old daughter of Mr. Kononov.
Urals, we recall, previously has Russian "daughters." They are amicably engaged in oil production and processing on Sakhalin and oil production on the island of Kolguev. Mr. Kononov is also the owner of a seaport on Sakhalin.
Investigators are digging well: according to our information, they intend to prove that the assets were acquired by Mr. Kononov with the money of depositors of the Transnational Bank and the savings of hockey player Radulov. Mr. Kononov received Radulov's money fraudulently. What The Moscow Post spoke about in the second part of the journalistic investigation "The Final of the Moire Banker."
During the investigative actions, two more interesting names could emerge: a speech about Roman Trushev, who had an oil refining business in the Samara region. Today Mr. Trushev is hiding in Switzerland. But, it seems, people in uniform may have much more questions for Yuri Novozhilov, who lives in Moscow and is deputy chairman of the board of Promsvyazbank. In the recent past, Mr. Novozhilov was related to the notorious Absolut Bank.
It turns out that a lot is swirling around banks, not only around oil?
The correspondent of The Moscow Post understood the details of criminal stories.
Are new arrests coming? In his message, our informant also reports that today there are mass interrogations of former subordinates of Sergei Kononov, who drain a lot of valuable information.
It was during the interrogations that the name of the citizen of Malta, Roman Trushev, who was accused of oil pollution in the Druzhba oil pipeline, suddenly fell out.
Recall that it was on Mr. Trushev that all the "dogs" were hung and made the main organizer of the process with all the ensuing consequences. Trushev's name fluttered for a long time at all corners... And for a long time nothing was heard about him, only the media reported fleetingly that Trushev first ended up in Germany, and then left for Switzerland.
The Moscow Post informant also recalled that back in 2018, the oil refining business in the Samara region was taken from Mr. Trushev. And he created this business since 2011 with the financial support of the Welfare Fund and its subsidiary bank, Absolut Bank.
At that time, the head of the Welfare Fund was Yuri Novozhilov, he also headed the notorious Absolut Bank, which became famous for its cruel actions against starving owners of mortgage apartments...
And today - as our informant testifies - the former leadership of Absolut Bank (several first tops) is very interested in one of the power structures for corruption and fraud.
Roman Trushev
Note that Mr. Novozhilov is today Deputy Chairman of the Board at Promsvyazbank. And ill-wishers spread rumors that supposedly the good Mr. stubbornly continues to receive kickbacks from loans issued. Sounds like nonsense, but there's no smoke without fire.
That is why Mr. Trushev has already allegedly been approached by representatives of the power structure. And allegedly in exchange for useful information and testimony against Novozhilov and the former tops of Absolut Bank, Mr. Trushev can be supported in all his problems.
And, apparently, a safe return to his native penates?
Yuri Novozhilov
Are new arrests coming?
Scandals of Yuri NovozhilovEspecially interesting for Mr. Novozhilov was 2017, when he was still working at Absolut Bank. In May 2017, the media narrated the bank's conflict with foreign currency borrowers who went on a hunger strike. And as a result, protests from the office on Vorontsovskaya Street flowed into the street.
The reason was that the leadership of Absolut Bank refused to negotiate with citizens who took a foreign exchange mortgage. And in order to "smoke" uninvited guests, the office on Vorontsovskaya Street was even closed. But the starving, having poured into the street, stubbornly demanded to organize a meeting with the leadership of a credit organization.
Borrowers demanded a reverse conversion to rubles of their mortgage obligations, in which the amount of debt on the day of signing was converted into foreign currency.
The second high-profile scandal in the life of Mr. Novozhilov occurred in the fall of 2019. The publication "Base," claimed that allegedly the adviser to the head of Promsvyazbank Yuri Novozhilov (by that time he had already changed his place of work) beat his young son for poor grades. And the fact of what happened according to the owners of the "Base" the police allegedly even conducted an audit.
A 12-year-old child allegedly came to visit his father. And my father decided to check on his son. As a result, Novozhilov became furious and allegedly gave the boy a stray. Then, according to the authors of Baza, allegedly Novozhilov knocked his son to the floor and began to kick him and punch him, after which the doctors recorded bruises on the boy's body.
A source at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow told RBC that a boy born in 2007, whose surname and patronymic coincide with the surname and patronymic of his son Novozhilov, sought medical help from the Lapino clinical hospital on October 22, 2019. The child was diagnosed with a head injury. According to him, the father was injured.
Novozhilov himself denied the information that he beat his son due to poor grades at school.
And another scandal, perhaps the loudest, is connected with Mr. Trushev, who is hiding in Switzerland today. Mr. Trushev gave an interview some time ago to Le Temps journalist Adria Boudry Carbot (Switzerland).
From his asylum, Trushev claims that the oil refinery was taken away from him. And this story is also connected with the pollution of the Druzhba oil pipeline, which connects Russia with the European Union, passing 5500 km through the territory of Belarus. It was here that a warning was issued on April 19 when a high level of chlorine-containing compounds that were destructive for infrastructures was discovered in oil... Panic arose on the market.
Oil exports were paralyzed for a month.
Ten days later, 6 suspects were named. 4 people were arrested. Trushev managed to go abroad.
Trushev owned the Samaratransneft terminal and the Petroneft oil refinery. The plant was stolen from Trushev.
As the Swiss journalist Le Temps wrote, Mr. Trushev was the victim of an extortion attempt by a person close to Absolut Bank, who provided us with a loan. But soon the credit crane was closed. The bank initiated bankruptcy proceedings at the plant...
The financial agreements and sales transactions that Le Temps newspaper was able to get acquainted with are quite complicated, but Trushev claims that they were imposed by those who deprived him of the Petroneft plant: the company that owns the refinery was sold in December 2018 to three companies owned by Absolut Bank: Special Resources-Service, Damatria and Development Development. "
The Samaratransneft terminal was sold in June 2018.
"I am no longer the owner of these infrastructures," Trushev said in an interview. "In normal times, I could be called as a witness at most." It seems that Roman Trushev was heard in Russia?
Does it smell like kerosene? But back to our "central" hero: Mr. Kononov, who was elusive for more than 5 years after the collapse of the Transnational Bank. Now, according to our sources, the court arrested the former owner of the Transnational Bank.
Earlier, according to our informant, Kononov had an "unusual" preventive measure - a cash deposit that allowed Kononov, being under a serious criminal case, to travel around the world even without prior notification of the investigator.
According to our information, before his arrest, he not only went headlong into oil affairs and "chases" kerosene on Sakhalin Island, but even after the ruin of the Transnational Bank, he went to developers: he is building residential quarters in Skolkovo, Krasnogorsk and Yaroslavl. I did not forget my offshore in the Republic of Cyprus.
And today there is already damning testimony against Sergey Kononov of the main defendants in the criminal case of embezzlement of funds from TNB Bank.
In the near future, investigators are supposed to interview former bank president Alla Bondaruk and ex-bank vice president Olga Sukhoguzova. Before Mr. Kononov's landing, both bankers could receive money for their silence. Is it unlikely that Mr. Kononov will be able to make money transfers from the pre-trial detention center?
The testimony of Dmitry Paltov, on which, according to our informant, almost all the assets of Sergei Kononov, as well as the testimony of the lawyer - Denis Kutishenko, can play a role.
Mr. Kutishenko participated in all Mr. Kononov's schemes and questionable transactions. And by the way, there will be recognition of Vladimir Shestakov, the general director of Petrosakh Energy LLC, who knows about all the business processes of Urals Energy LLC and Russian subsidiaries.
As our informant previously claimed, Mr. Kononov owns Urals Energy LLC through an offshore in Cyprus where he owns more than 40% of the shares. And another part of the shares is issued for Dmitry Paltov.
Thus, Kononov owns almost 50% of the shares of a large Cypriot company. And the purchase of these shares was carried out with TNB money, including the funds of hockey player Alexander Radulov, which Kononov managed as his own. And, of course, it was not without the various cunning cash transactions that the senior employees of the bank made for Mr. Kononov
The former owner of Transnational Bank Kononov huddled since 2015. Zero information on the Internet, brilliantly cleared the whole photo bank.
But the miss came out in the winter of 2019, when Mr. Kononov flew to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to the governor Valery Limarenko. The photographer took several pictures during the negotiations... And lit up Mr. Kononov!
What did the "grave digger" of the Transnational Bank ask, but at that time - the president of Petrosakh JSC Sergey Kononov from Mr. Limarenko?
During negotiations with the Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko
Sergey Kononov appealed to the Government of the Sakhalin Region with a request to assist in the acquisition of raw materials from oil producing enterprises in the region to load its oil refinery.
Mr. Kononov recalled that Petrosakh JSC is the only oil company in the Sakhalin Region with a full cycle of oil business: from the production of raw materials to the production of petroleum products.
But Petrosakh JSC has recently been a participant in 10 different trials. And even earlier, the company took part in 66 (completed) court cases.
Could the entourage of Governor Limarenko not check the company for "lousiness"?
As a result, Valery Limarenko supported the initiative of Petrosakh JSC. He noted the need to create conditions for local production of petroleum products at market prices.
Valery Limarenko
Anyway, we agreed...
And the Internet got a fresh picture of Mr. Kononov.
"Inflated" hockey player RadulovRecall that the Central Bank of Russia revoked its banking license from Transnational Bank in mid-April 2015. The bank implemented a high-risk credit policy related to the placement of funds in low-quality assets.
It was in this bank that the famous hockey player, Dallas Stars striker Alexander Radulov, kept his savings with a friend Sergei Kononov.
And when the bank "fell asleep," Kononov asked Alexander Radulov to wait three years. And in return, as if on bail, he gave two premises in the center of the capital at an alleged cost of $25 million.
The "deal" took place at a distance, since the hockey player was in the United States of America. But arriving in Belokamennaya, Radulov found out that Kononov deceived him by 1.5 billion rubles: the premises given on bail actually cost $3 million, and not 25 "lemons."
Forward "Dallas Stars" Alexander Radulov
Alexander Radulov was also not aware that the buildings are located on land that belongs to Moscow. And now, for several years of delay in renting land, the hockey player owes the city almost 15 million rubles.
It should be noted that the case against Sergei Borisovich Kononov, who "drowned" the Transnational Bank and deceived the famous hockey player Radulov, for a long time went shaky and no roll. And the metropolitan investigator, Lieutenant Colonel Trofimov from the TFR, seemed reluctant to investigate the "crash" of the Transnational Bank.
It turns out that Mr. Kononov - until the investigation came out - had a reliable "roof"? After all, Mr. Kononov was not even called for interrogation for a long time. Moreover, they were released on large cash bail. And Mr. Kononov even went abroad.
Help of lawyers - hook workersIt turns out that Mr. Kononov has been afloat for more than 6 years? And by no means became a beggar, on the contrary, he served as president of Urals Energy LLC with an office in the capital.
After Kononov actually gained control of this company, he decided by a majority vote to delist shares from the London exchange. This was also told by our informant.
The goal is allegedly one - not to answer questions from financial and other English regulators of the exchange about the origin of the funds for which a large stake in Urals Energy LLC was bought. And with the help of a lawyer, Kutishenko managed to do this back in 2018.
After that, Mr. Kononov began to manage this company as completely his own. And it is this company that, through 100%, subsidiaries own oil production assets in the Murmansk region - in ArcceNeft JSC.
Sergey Kononov takes money from the sale of oil and petroleum products - as usual - to himself.
On Dmitry Paltov, in Kononov's favor, stakes in Kholm Commercial Sea Port PJSC are directly issued - a stevedoring company in the Russian seaport of Kholmsk, Sakhalin Island, Urals Energy LLC, Cyprus, which owns oil assets in Sakhalin and Komi.
It is noteworthy that the purchase of these assets was financed by the money of the Transnational Bank. And at the same time, Mr. Kononov is not shy about having an official position - president of Urals Energy LLC, with an office in Moscow.
Went to developersAccording to our informant, after the collapse of the bank, Mr. Kononov also had several large housing projects in Skolkovo, Krasnogorsk and Yaroslavl with a serious share.
And all these projects were also financed at one time from the Transnational Bank, on the security of the projects themselves, but before revoking the license, Kononov took them out of the bank and issued them for his people, including the same Dmitry Paltov. Roman Shvets oversees these projects.
And, indeed, it was possible to find "traces" of Mr. Kononov in the Skolkovo innovation center, where his company "Environment" is building the housing complex "M1 Skolkovo."
Mr. Kononov registered this LLC in March 2019. Authorized capital - 15 thousand rubles.
Curiously, when registering, Mr. Kononov indicated the address: Moscow, Second Roshchinsky passage, house number 8, room 531... It turned out that this address is sucked out of the finger!
In Skolkovo, Mr. Kononov built "anthills," as the people call apartments in 19 square meters. M
Skolkovo, houses from ex-banker Kononov
It remains only to emphasize once again that all these building fantasies of Mr. Kononov would not have been possible without the ruin of the depositors of the Transnational Bank. The famous hockey player Radulov, who has been trying to return his money for several years, also helped with his billions in savings...
Recall that the Transnational Bank was almost nowhere highlighted in open sources as a credit institution with a dubious history. Observers claim that Kononov skillfully covered all his probable "scams" in the name of his close friend Leonid Dyachenko, the former son-in-law of Boris Yeltsin.
But, it seems, Mr. Dyachenko's powerful influence also ended if Mr. Kononov - in the end - ended up in pre-trial detention center No. 5 "Vodnik"?
